The artotel Potsdam boasts a skilful combination of modern and historic architecture, art and contemporary design. The interior architecture and design are the work of the renowned English designer, Jasper Morrison.

The new part of building has attracted a great deal of attention. It stands in contrast to the historic architecture of Ludwig Persius, who converted the original granary building into an Italian-style castle in 1848.

Guests have use of a fitness and spa centre, which is adjacent to the hotel. In addition to weight-lifting rooms and a cardio-studio, it offers 5 different saunas with steam bath, solarium, massage services and beauty salon (additional fee required).

A public cruise ship docks right at the hotel harbour each day between 12:30 and 15:30, and takes guests for a trip along the Havel.

Restauració

The non-smoking Aqua restaurant is set by the river Havel. It boasts an inviting terrace. The chef looks forward to spoiling you with fine regional and international creations. Please note that pets are not allowed in the restaurant.

The lobby bar invites you to enjoy small treats and socialise at the end of the day.

The hotel lies directly on the R1 European cycle path (Europaradweg), and you can hire bicycles from the hotel.

It takes just a few minutes to reach the Sanssouci Palace and gardens on foot, while Potsdam’s other palaces, the Dutch quarter and the pedestrian zone can be reached by car in no time.

Alternatively, you can explore the city by using the sightseeing tour bus which stops directly outside the hotel.

A tram stop lies just 50 metres away, while Charlottenhof railway station is only 300 metres from the property. From there, you can reach Berlin within 20 minutes.
